Harsh Environment Chamber (Small)

Along with our larger HE chamber, we also have a smaller HE chamber. This chamber is approximately 2 feet in diameter and 6 feet in length and is typically used to perform testing using superheated type of steam profiles (MSLB, SSLB, etc.) on smaller sized equipment. Using our boiler and in-line superheater, we are able to perform harsh environment steam type testing up to approximately 200°C while keeping the pressure very low (substantially below saturated steam conditions).

This chamber also has the capability to maintain extended duration temperature profiles, water/chemical injection and/or re-circulation and compressed air injection.

We have a number of different flanges that can be used to provide fully sealed electrical or pneumatic connections between the specimens inside and monitoring equipment outside the chamber as well as flanges that can be adapted to provide fully sealed sliding and/or rotating mechanical connections to equipment inside the chamber.

If you have an item that needs to be tested under a harsh environment, give us a call!
